Biography

I am a full-time musician specialising in Highland Bagpipes and Irish Uilleann Pipes. Having studied both these instruments for most of my 28 years, I can offer live music of the highest calibre. I am also in demand for recording work by a number of bands and singers desiring some pipe or whistle music on their arrangements. My business is called Ground Bass Music which refers to the sound of pipe drones.

I am called upon by a variety of venues both locally and further afield, which include museums, heritage centres, arts centres, music clubs, castles and hotels. Depending on the occasion I can wear full Bagpiping outfit, 18th century Uilleann Piper's costume or something more contemporary. In addition to my solo work I am a member of the renowned St. Laurence O'Toole's pipe band based in Dublin. The only grade one band in the republic, they are among the finest in the world at present, having won 2nd prize in the European and 6th in the World Championships this year. I am also involved in the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland who undertake a series of concerts each year both in Ireland and overseas. Their soul-stirring performances have been described as 'Inspirational,' 'astounding,' and 'ranking at the very top of orchestral brilliance.'
